I want to buy an E-series Thinkpad and I'm undecided between one with Intel 255H or Ryzen 7 250  processor.

From your reviews, it looks like the Core Ultra 7 255H throttles heavily pretty quickly under high usage, whereas the Ryzen 7 250 has a much more consistent behaviour. So, my question is if it's really worth going for the Intel CPU (leaving the different screens and other considerations aside), as the theoretical advantage of the Intel 255H seem to vanish pretty quick due to poor thermal dissipation. Also, the price of the Intel variant is much higher.

Thank you in advance.

Sorry, posted this under the wrong review.

A small correction should be made in this review. The chassis is not all aluminum. The palmrest is plastic and screen assembly plus bottom covers are from aluminium. You can clearly see that from the picture showcasing the internals.

Lenovo updates its affordable office laptop ThinkPad E16 G3 with Intel's Arrow Lake processors as well as a new high-resolution 120 Hz display. The battery runtime is long, and you can install up to 128 GB RAM.
