I'm not sure how I feel about Arduino being acquired by Qualcomm, but hardware-wise the Uno Q is a really interesting product and I hope it gets the proper support needed to become a proper Raspberry Pi competitor. Slapping an ARM SoC on a small PCB has been done by many other companies, it's always been the Linux support that kills them, and Qualcomm has the money resources to avoid the same pitfall.
The Arduino UNO Q has been officially announced with a Qualcomm Dragonwing microprocessor and STMicroelectronics microcontroller. It runs Zephyr OS and supports all mainstream connectivity protocols.
