I rechecked if it's really only about finishing the game, and not about 100% achievement completion, and the percentage definitely is only about finishing it. It's ridiculous. Why even buy a game if you don't play it through at least once? I don't get it.

Of course it can happen that you buy a game you don't like it enough to play through, but this percentage is not an isolated case. Happens on most games if you check the "reached end" achievements. Only a very small percentage of people actually plays games through...

There are so many possibilities in Baldur's Gate 3. I have played hundreds of hours, but only 2 of my characters have reached Act 3 so far. Other characters are either in Act 2 or even in Act 1. Trying many different options and finding things I have missed in previous playthrough. And there is still plenty of things I didn't try.

Hats off to the 100% completionists in some of these games. Talk about patience.  There's a certain point in most games I love where I feel like the effort required to move forward no longer is "fun" and I put it down.  And I do that because I want the experience in the game to be remembered as joyful and engaging.  I notice I get about 90% of the way through on average to  completion of all the achievements, the last 10% can easily take up hundreds of hours.  Apparently people do have this time on their hands!

Too many great games to focus on just one.

I started Cyberpunk 2077 a few weeks ago and have been playing it a lot and I have not even begun to uncover the majority of the game's achievements (I'm at 17%!)  Quite the game, although I'm starting to feel the grind aspect, and lose interest in some of the combat options (Stealth versus just gunning seems like it would add about 100% time invested per mission.  Doesn't seem very rewarding/satisfying, either.)
