No one in their right mind will use a 2x teleconverter on such a glacially slow lens as it would then become a ludicrously slow 200-1000 f/10-14.2.
Really sad to see Pansonic follow Canon in offering such a slow 100-500mm zoom. 125-500 f/4.5-6.3 would have been far nicer and still lightweight and offer a higher quality 4x zoom ratio.
With a max focal length of 500mm (or 1000mm via 2x teleconverters), Panasonic's latest addition to its LUMIX S series may not have the longest L-mount zoom on the market but is a strong new option for full-frame mirrorless shooters.
