The entry of the iPhone 17 Pro (Max) into the current top 3 of the DxOMark smartphone camera rankings has created a somewhat curious situation: despite its technically inferior hardware, Apple's new flagship has overtaken the Vivo X200 Ultra to assume third place among the best smartphone cameras. This has attracted a lot of criticism, but the overall result is understandable.
