IMHO: having BOTH OCuLink and Thunderbolt connectivity on/in a single device could open up connectivity options (future proof) for those that are looking into using an eGPU with one or more of their systems.
Aoostar has confirmed that it has a new eGPU dock in the works with a global launch in mind. Sporting Thunderbolt 5 and OCuLink connectivity, the Aoostar EG01 also integrates an unusual mini-PC mount to distinguish it from alternatives like the Peladn Link S-3 and Minisforum DEG1.
