From a mini-pc manufacturer POV, it's no wonder that crowdfunding has a lot of appeal as it allows them to know exactly how many customer want to preorder and adapt their production accordingly, which reduces the risk of investing too much in production while being unsure of the amount of sales. I also guess that Kickstarter takes less commission than Amazon.
Geekom has now released the A9 Mega after teasing the mini-PC last month. Significantly more powerful than the A9 Max thanks to its AMD Strix Halo APU, the Geekom A9 Mega utilises an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU and 128 GB of RAM within a 171 x 171 x 70.9 mm housing that packs plenty of ports too.
