I use a $300 Shark. It doesn't have bags. Works fine. I empty once a week.
To mop I mop manually every few weeks. When we had an auto mop/vacuum combo we had all sorts of issues so we figured we'd wait another 5-10 years until they figured it out.
Not paying more than $400 for a vacuum.
None of the reviews of devices over $1000 for mop/mower/etc have impressed, and they even seem like you would need to put in more effort to do the same job.
