Strange. Not sure I understand what's going on but the one I see on Asus's website and elsewhere includes a third USB-A on the left and has a bit of a different design in the keyboard area. The part below the screen is very different also.
However, there's a huge difference on the actual body, sides, vent areas, etc., compared to yours.
It also includes Wi-Fi 7.
And, your bottom plate is the old Asus G18. The new G18 has that quick release.

Something is wrong with your review.
Or, the AMD version is using older everything.

Hmm, now that I look on their website, the AMD version has a separate listing with older designs. What was Asus thinking?

Your review is vastly different from what we're expecting when buying the Intel version, which is what most, if not at all, would do. I wonder why they sent you an AMD one.

This was one of the few in depth reviews I could find on the G18 2025.

How was the battery life while gaming? I've read reports of it not lasting more than 2 hours.

The 18-inch Asus ROG Strix G18 gaming laptop combines a powerful AMD processor with a GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU to achieve a lower price. For $2,449, you get a ton of features, but the CPU/GPU combination feels unbalanced.
