Furius ISO Mount, cdemu (commandline but has guis for it), mdf2iso (converts your mdf to iso which can be mounted native)

Poweriso seems to support those files. You can install it from your distro's app store.

I have some old games that pretty much can only install using those programs. They have .MDF and .MDS file formats.

I also see Bazzite growing in popularity.
I'll install it in my Framework Desktop (as soon as it arrives).
I'll have Windows just in case I need it for anything, but I'm going to avoid Windows 11 like the plague.

Already most games support linux via proton. Only exception is anti-cheats for multiplayer games, but those anti-cheats are a from of spyware in themselves.

excel/word = Libre Office

pdf = Most pdfs can be opened in browsers these days (LibreOffice Draw can also make/edit pdfs), there are also a few commercial pds apps for more advanced stuff like Foxit and Master PDF
