Lesser-known is not the same as unknown, as far as I can tell. Am I wrong?

What a pathetic headline and shows a huge level of ignorance on the authors part. The Aurora Australis is very well known, it's usually less intense than the borealis due to the weaker magnetic field in the southern hemisphere. However, 2025 has seen very strong Aurora's in the southern hemisphere with people in Sydney seeing it. Next tell us how Sydney is an unknown city in an unknown country.

NASA has released an image of the lesser-known Southern Lights — Aurora Australis. The image was taken right from the space station, offering an amazing unobstructed view of this phenomenon.
