How are the new ones with water?

I love my xm5s but the touchpads go haywire when my damp coat hood brushes them. I was hoping for a return to tactile buttons but wondering if they made any improvement?

After Sony's WH-1000XM5 already struggled with widespread hinge defects, a similar issue seems to affect the new WH-1000XM6. One owner of Sony's latest flagship headphones has now reported the first broken hinge.
