Total Recall is the only solution

I don't recall any of my Switch 1 cases fitting with the dock either, Nintendo didn't design it with cases in mind. I don't have a Switch 2 to compare.

So I just used to remove it from the case when going into dock mode. The case is there to protect it when it's out of th3 dock anyway.

I can believe that would be so controversial.

The detaching controller sounds like a bigger issue, but from the sounds of another comment, how people are holding it may be a part of the issue. I figured given its magnetic I'd be holding the console with both hands anyway, I'm not going to trust it'll hold.

TDLR, Having issues with my killswitch OG ROG Ally edition. Dbrand is running me around their "robots" automated customer service. 1st impression, last impresssion, bad impression. Returning product.

For those that want the details;

Yeah I am having issues with my OG Asus ROG Ally KillSwitch. The vynil is of meh' quality. I got the textured "Area 51-Classified" skin. Where the white topographical texture meets the edge of the vinyl and is pushing up against the case making the sticker buckle and peel up from the corners. Also, the killswitch case itself is loose at the bottom.
Idk,I paid a considerable amount of money (For a case) that compared to the competitor which I could've gone for half the price if I wanted to experience these issues, but maybe not.
I've contacted dbrands customer support. So far it's been three days since contact and all I've had is conversation with robots. The motto of "Let our "robots" take care of it. Your in solid "Metal" hands"... yeah it's funny at first, as a marketing ploy. Now during a quality product issue however, it just puts off a we don't give a crap now that you bought our product vibe, here hold my robot.
Good news is I am still within my return period. I hate returning but this is just unprofessional. 1st experience with dbrand, last experience with dbrand.

That really sucks for the people who paid a good amount of money for a case. I bought a steam deck kill switch and used it for about a month and took it back off. It adds a significant weight and my fingers are always pushing on the hard edge by the triggers which made it pretty annoying to use. It was slightly more comfortable (other then the triggers) but I definitely regret my purchase and it at least worked as advertised unlike the switch 2 case.

The issue only occurs when holding the switch with ONE HAND while it's horizontal (screen facing the sky) and the tablet is not supported at all. This does not happen if you hold the Switch 2 just by the grips WITH BOTH HANDS. You can hold it one handed just by the grip as long as the screen isnt horizontal in most cases. My unit doesn't have any of the issues being reported by terminally online, angry redditors.

There are some fair criticisms of the design and Dbrand's response, but the subreddit has gone full blown mob mentality. They're out for blood and are behaving irrationally. The truth is that this issue is only a tiny fraction of cases and only when you hold the Switch 2 in an unintuitive, awkward manner.

The purpose of a Switch 2 case is to protect the console from damage. Yet, the dbrand Killswitch is not performing as buyers had expected. The accessory makes Joy-Con attachments less secure and doesn't fit seamlessly in the Switch 2 dock.
