First there are things like cost, second, the FDA has a long testing process for these things. You can't even say this checks for this (not yet approved by the FDA). It's why a lot of trackers had to wait a year or more to get blood pressure and heart check features even though other countries already had it. Because of the long approval process.

Garmin appears to be working on a wrist-based blood glucose monitoring feature, as revealed by a recently published patent describing the corresponding sensor technology. Such a system could be a great help for diabetics, but there are still questions.
