But the overall footprint of a whole device is. Compare it with something like a 5" Xperia XZ2 Compact from 2018, and it is ~15 mm taller, 5 mm wider, ~4 mm thinner and some 30 grams heavier. Fairly decent for much larger display.

Samsung needs to get its act together and get sharp with its next generation and compete against this.
Although Samsung is currently the best in artificial intelligence with its layer and multiple functions, there needs to be a change in the battery and lenses to compete with Xiaomi.
I've had an S23 for two years now, and in terms of size, it's a perfectly small and manageable phone, but these new batteries would be a huge step forward.
