This is exactly the sort of application Autodesk was promising with its generative design stuff in the early days. I remember my university professor actually being somewhat nervous about the implications of those generative design tools back then, but it looks like they're still in their infancy.

The china reverse engineer is gonna see this and just copy pasta it unfortunately. youd think w/ the amount of generative design tools out there that companies would have applied weight savings ealier

A Russian YouTuber has created a 29 g gaming mouse with hole-less design and an 8 kHz polling rate. The 3D printed shell is completely custom-designed from scratch using some of the most popular gaming mice as inspiration, and the end result is an ultra-light symmetrical mouse for a claw grip.
