There are no real advantages of a leaf shutter these days other than they are very quiet compared to a mechanical focal plane shutter. All the advantages they once had over focal plane shutters have largely disappeared.
The main benefit today is if you don't have a fast stacked sensor, leaf shutter can give you much higher flash sync speed than focal plane shutters, which top out at around 1/250s for mechanical shutters.
Just like its more compact Fujifilm X100VI sibling, the rangefinder-style GFX100RF compact medium format camera features a leaf shutter built into the GFX lens, but Fujifilm has now confirmed that this leaf shutter and all the advantages that come with it, will remain a part of its fixed-lens camera ecosystem
