Perhaps the power of having a large number of shader cores? (8 CU / 512 vs 12 SM / 1536)

You can do a lot more with same wattage. Does not seem that out of the ordinary to me.

"3.1 TFLOPS in docked mode and 1.72 TFLOPS in handheld mode"

According to the chart I'm looking at, the above numbers would place the Switch2 a bit higher than a Steam Deck (1.6TFLOPS) in handheld mode and a bit lower than a Xbox Series S (4.0TFLOPS) in docked mode.

While impressive but rather IMHO unrealistic.

Despite the many Switch 2 leaks, Nintendo may still have some surprises in store for fans. A Famiboards user who predicted other Switch 2 specs believes the console will offer a 120Hz display. VRR and HDR support would also make the system competitive with the most capable handheld PCs.
