If that's the route they're going, they'd do better to just make it a relatively low-cost streaming device. Xbox Portal.

While the hope might of been having a stripped down W11 that was optimized for the handheld & gaming, an addition of a Oculink or TB port so that eGPU tethering is possible may not be enough to save this from being DOA.

Gee, just what the market needs is yet another underpowered & underperforming handheld system.

Oh wait!! Nintendo's S2 is coming to market soon.

According to recent reports, Microsoft will be dipping its toes into the gaming handheld market later this year with a device designed in collaboration with Asus. From new suggestions that Microsoft will charge at least $499 for an AMD Ryzen Z2 Go APU to it being 'a proof of concept' that will not play Xbox games, Xbox 'Project Kennan' already sounds dead on arrival.
