AMD's FSR 4 apparently makes great strides and has almost caught up to Nvidia DLSS 4. A custom version of new and improved upscaling technology is expected to run on Sony's PlayStation 5 Pro in the future, even though the gaming console is still equipped with a graphics card based on the older RDNA 3 architecture.
