The competition has overtaken the Surface with more profitable products such as the ROG Flow Z13 (2025) GZ302 with an AMD Ryzen Max+ 395 processor that consumes less than Intel and has better graphic performance.
In short, many users expect that there are 3 alternatives: Intel, AMD, Qualcomm and each one chooses what suits them best.
The reason is the same as has always been with AMD on laptops: no enough stock to meet demand. No company wants to sit around having motherboards waiting for their CPU to arrive. And I'm sure, the lack of Thunderbolt also plays a role in that decision. I would also like to see an AMD version, but it is what it is. At least Lunar Lake will be a great option for years to come.
