Sounds ignorant. If google divests from Chrome or so to say, who is going to buy it? Chrome doesn't make any money itself.

Therefore, likely buyers would be:

Microsoft - So they can reclaim their monopoly

Chinese - So they can install their own spyware into it

Google Shell company - So they can take it outside US law

Opportunistic shell company - Install spyware and sell user data

Yeah, just so another government-controlled buyer to give the DOJ, ect. FULL ACCESS/CONTROL (in secret/backdoors) over ALL USERS DATA worldwide.
