Not in NC.  I tried and no SE's available for 13 month lease.  Plus dealerships won't honor anywhere close to the 24 mo lease advertised on Hyundaiusa website for the Southeast ($3999 down and $190/mo for the Ioniq 5 and $200/mo for the Ioniq 6)

Drive both then tell us what you think.

It's a crappy deal in Maryland where one has to pay the sales tax on the full price of the car leased.  Who will want to pay sales tax (6%) every 13 months on the full purchase lease price of the car?

I guess it's different in each state.

Here in PA we can transfer our registration to a new car. When I transfer my existing. Whatever is remaining carries over. It's also only $50 per year. We have the option of yearly or 2 years at a time.

So if I have 1 month remaining I just renew and keep it.

Hyundai has introduced one of the best close-end lease deals on an electric car in the US, offering to upgrade an Ioniq 5 every year for less than the monthly lease payment on a Model Y.
