A cheaper car built on the cybercab platform would be a winner. If it seats 4 or 5 people, Same size front and rear wheels and obviously need the equipment to be able to manually drive it. Fingers crossed this happens.

Quote from: Art V on October 25, 2024, 06:46:33Both the clarity of the notebookchat article (no Model 2 at under $25k) and the ambiguity (there will be a sub $30k car in 2025) is what I heard in the earnings call. Several news outlets said Musk confirmed of a cheaper car in first half 2025, but that's not what I heard.

The "cheaper cars" are the Model Y and 3, which will continue to drop in price through 2025 as battery prices decline and as some of the so-called "Model 2" technology is incorporated using the existing production lines.

The least expensive car will be the Cybercab, which will be built on a new production line in "2026" (as always, give or take a few years).

Clear enough?

Tesla's Robotaxi may end up priced at just $25,000 according to Elon Musk, so it won't be making a mass market Model 2 car with pedals and a steering wheel.
