And no Chinese manufacturer cheats these benchmarks at all and runs the SoC at near breaking point when it detects a benchmark app. I'll be more convinced when Samsung, (who i hope by now has learned from being caught cheating) get tested.

Single core performance is more indicative of how a SOC will preform. Snap also hired former apple chip designers to help them finally get there. I m a actually impressed with snap. Only took them 15 years.

So true, whenever Snapdragon comes close, Geekbench updates its benchmark to make Apple look better. The new Snapdragon still lags behind in terms of single-core scores compared to the A18 Pro, so let's see. Could a few more generations before SD catches up with the top-tier Apple Silicon.

There is barely a 7% difference between SD8G4 and A18 Pro in single core. While it massively outperforms A18 pro by ~20%, there is no more generational gap anymore.

With the launch of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 around the corner, phones that are expected to feature it are popping up on Geekbench. The iQOO 13 is one of them, and in its latest benchmark run, the next-gen Qualcomm SoC beats the Apple A18 Pro in multi-core score and achieves a very close single-core score.
