I'm still bummed it didn't hit the original numbers stated (500 miles and much cheaper), but I'm surprised that others think this is some kind of sleight of hand to make Elon look better. It plainly says

"when tested under stanardized conditions at an average speed of 40 MPH and with a 60/40% split between city and highway driving, respectively."

What part of a standardized test is in favor of Elon, or any company? The purpose of a standardized test is to be, well... "standard". Meaning 'the same for everyone who takes it'.

I won't be buying a cybertruck but the article is still stating valid points. I believe you shouldn't hate on something/ or love something, simply because of who created it.

While the focus with the Cybertruck's range on a charge numbers has so far been on extreme towing or high speed driving conditions, a standardized mixed test confirms Tesla's official numbers.
