This isn't a deal: This is around the standard price for a 5800x, and not even the lowest it's been on Amazon. The list price, obviously, has nothing to do with the price of a computer part that constantly falls in value as normal, and one should check camelcamelcamel to see if an actual sale is happening and not just a gradual price drop. This is not the first time I've seen a fake deal like this on Notebookcheck, and it's highly misinformative on a computer information site.
Although it has been around since early November 2020, the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X processor is still a worthy choice for the well-established AM4 socket thanks to the good deals usually available. Those interested can get this chip on Amazon for US$239.99, thanks to a 47% discount applied to the US$449 retail price.
