Wouldn't it be something truly amazing if samsung made a phone that flipped and folded together as one phone

I hate it at how Samsung had a better design for a flip phone, with the W2019, then ditched it all when the Z Flip and Z Fold came out. They had a very unique design with the W2019.

I would not ever recommend this thing to anyone. I would say phone, but it's litterally been garbage for us. My daughter had the Zflip 4 for not even a month. It had a phone case on it and it fell out of her jacket pocket at less than 2 foot fall. The phone was folded shut. The screen started to go black at the fold. AT&T charged us $275 for a replacement phone with our insurance.  Samsung wanted to charge $377 to repair.  The thing is Research and Development does drop tests on these things, they have to so they can see what kind of damage happens if it is dropped or takes a fall. They have to know that these cannot withstand a drop from any distance and still be usable,  even with a case on it. I used to love Samsung now, i sort of feel betrayed.  I am just hoping this one can survive for the 2 years left to upgrade to a better, sturdier phone.

I bought the flip 3 one day before it was released from ATT. The screen cracking at the fold is a hit-or-miss thing. The problem comes from dust getting behind the screen from the inside edge of the hinge. They fixed the issue with later production. The phone they gave me to replace my first one is fine, no issues. The battery is a bit small but I dont surf or watch movies all day. The best part of this phone is how easy it goes in your pocket and you dont have to worry about scratching it with keys or cracking it by sitting on it. Tough phone now that they fixed the hinge. I do recommend!

I have had my fold 3 for almost 8 months i highly recommended this phone. I havent had a single issue with it. I work construction and have dropped the pho e more times than i care to count and with no screen protector i still dont have a cracked screen. The only complaint i have is that ot didnt come with the s pen.
I will be sticking with the fold from here on out. Best phone ive had by far

can we call this phone what it is.. it is a flip phone. it's marketed as a "fold" as if it is any different from the flip phone form that was common 15 years ago.
the flip/fold aspect does nothing because 90% of the time you're going to have to open the phone fully to use its various functions. flipping it only ads and extra mechanism that will eventually fail. sad thing is that these phones are so expensive to repair, that more often, these will fill up the landfills. stop buying into these companies marketing BS and paying a premium for a sub par phone that is bad for the environment. just get a real flagship u nits

Once you Fold, You'll never Fold back to Candy Bar stye phone. I still am using my Fold 3 and get through the day at very least with no problem. I also took screen protector off big screen with no problems. I have 22 Ultra and guess which phone I am using to give this feedback, yep the Fold 3. I did get the Fold 4, but sent back as I didn't see enough of an upgrade to keep it. When Samsung nails the camera on the Fold series, I'm all in. On board S Pen would be nice. Also you should have gotten insurance as there is no charge,(some have Said they paid $29 US) for first cracked screen repair or replace. I use my phone all day and spend most of that time on big screen. Try optimizing your phone to get all the battery draining crap closed running in back ground. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PHONE!!!!

That means you are running crap software and you don't take care of things. There is nothing wrong with the fold4 battery life of the screen.

Had the Fold 3 and recently upgraded to Fold 4. Fold 3 was kinda a piece of s***. The issue with the bubbles and crack crease in the middle mainly has to do with the factory-installed screen film. If you're gonna buy this phone it's absolutely a must to have Samsung Care+. I got upgraded for free to the Fold 4 with my defective 3. The Fold 4 is a beast, better battery life, way better factory screen film, better camera. The battery life was pretty s*** on the Fold 3 at least coming from a Note 20 Ultra. Definitely not as good as my gf's S22 Ultra, not even close. The only exception to that is if you don't use the larger unfolded screen, that thing is a battery hog.

Unless you have dropped the phone many times the screen is not cracking, battery life is about the same as the s22,which people do not complain about battery life with

One year? It's rated at 200k folds iirc. Are you folding and unfolding your phone 548 times a day? At some point it's an addiction or an inability to just keep it open if you need to so often.

Samsung and China Telecom have just made the W23 - and W23 Flip - official. The high-end take on the existing Galaxy Z Fold4 has arrived alongside one on the latest Galaxy Z Flip for the first time. Both have been modified to have more RAM than standard SKUs, and to have a new high-end finish with more gold accents, ceramic finishes or both than usual.
