Well, calling HDMI and ethernet "legacy ports" is a bit far fetched in 2022. RS-232, PS/2 and VGA are legacy ports, yet they still exist in many enterprise desktops and motherboards sold separately. Actually, HDMI is pretty much only connection you can use to get 4k or higher ouput, while one can expect to find cable without lot of work and it will just work. You can probably buy one in the middle of the night, if needed, might be bit harder for USB-C/Thunderbolt to HDMI!
For the actual product, I switched last year from P52 to P14s Gen2 AMD. Loving my P14s, but kinda miss bigger form factor of P52, it had certain benefits (definitely not missing Intel CPU!). P15v AMD in Gen2 version next autumn will be perfect laptop to buy, usually change it after two years when I get full tax allowance for it.
