Well, the desktop Ampere GPUs barely deliver an increase in perf/W over Turing, so this is at least somewhat newsworthy. Just goes to show how Nvidia pushed their current gen desktop GPUs far beyond their peak efficiency points to try to stay ahead of AMD.

Yeah, I had to read the title twice because it's not saying something newsworthy.
And IIRC the node bump itself could explain ~25% more performance.

No we are not. But it is good to know that they managed to provide much better battery life though using the same CPU. This was one reason why I sent back mine.

Curious to see what this can do with new TigerLake or AlderLake CPUs.
