Strange I couldn't found this review link in the homepage, is something wrong?
Anyways, screen color is lackluster and response time is slower than advertised. Shame there's still no tutorial to replace the screen. So either go away from Asus or wait (again) for Ryzen 5000 if you want a good screen I guess
Actually, there is a tutorial and I followed it. I cannot post the link, since I am a new user, but search for "
Laptop screen replacement / How to replace laptop screen Asus TUF A15 FA506IV - Screen Upgrade" on youtube. I replaced the original screen on my TUF A15 with the same display like that guy, which is a
BOE NV156FHM-N4K (look it up on Panelook). I have to say the difference is quite visible, both in terms of colors and brightness, and also in response time
I do have other questions regarding the laptop. I noticed that the integrated graphics runs on PCI-E 16x, whilst the 1660Ti that I have runs on a PCI-E 8x lane. Is there any way I could switch this around?
The model that I bought: Ryzen 7 4800H, 16Gb Ram, 1660Ti, 512GB SSD, 48 WHr battery, Bonfire black. It cost 950 EUR inn Romania, and I paid another 170 EUR for the new display, which leads to a total of 1120 EUR -same laptop, better display.
