I own this laptop and also owned a non-touch-bar version briefly.

The long-duration power limit is around 30-33W for the MacBook Pro 13" touch-bar, which is considerably higher than the non-touch version (~23W). I can confirm that the touch bar version can maintain 30-33W essentially indefinitely.

As far as I can tell, 33W is the highest long-duration power limit for any Skylake-U laptop.

Prime95 + Furmark will cause basically any thin/light laptop to throttle; there just isn't enough power to go around to keep the GT3e graphics and the IA cores clocked up.

Under Prime95 + Furmark you can expect to see around 600MHz GPU and around 2.5GHz CPU, which is a very, very good result for a laptop this size. In comparison the XPS 9350 (even the Iris version) throttles to 15W and you can expect clocks more like 400MHz GPU / 1.1GHz CPU.

It must be said that the test temperature outside is one of the lowest I've seen on the site, only 19 degrees ...

Thanks for the Great review, i love it, at least i know that Apple  did some serious, serious optimizations to the software to keep these machines alive, at least. well thanks again.

What about the temperature while working a while at full charge ?

Where are the grades on these MBPs? These articles end with "initial impressions" but they look like full-scale reviews.

BTW in the EU, the warranty is 2 years. Not 1 year. Apple have been fined in Belgium and Italy for misleading the public into thinking there is only 1 year warranty and you must buy AppleCare for an extra of 2 years.

These are pro machines as Apple wants us to believe, so will you test them as PRO machines, we want to see how they fare when taken to the limit, try Prime95 and Furmark and all that heavy bench marks that will take the fluffy coats off these sticks of models called work horses (PRO). You did it with the ThinkPads do it with the "PROs"

Live Review // The better 13-inch Pro? The MacBook Pro 13 Touch Bar is Apple's new 13-inch flagship model. Besides the obvious OLED display above the keyboard, however, there are more differences compared to the entry-level model with function keys. Is it worth the $300 premium?
