QuoteThe new RTX Spark processor, on the other hand, is particularly appealing if you increasingly use AI models alongside gaming or content creation, as its unified memory pays off here.

That statement really needs to be qualified. Depending on the AI use case it can be dead wrong. Here's a version that's more correct:

If the AI model fits into the 24 GB VRAM of the 5090, then the much stronger compute power of the 5090 will *destroy* the RTX Spark (only a 5070 equivalent). This is usually the case for AI image models, audio, video or text-to-speech models, or smaller LLMs (up to a 27B model like Qwen 3.8).

It's only for larger LLMs (up to around 120B parameters if you have 128 GB RAM) or other AI models of similar size that the RTX Spark will be significantly faster than the 5090 model.

QuoteCPU performance than the AMD processor
but is the total joules consumed also fewer or it that the CPU e.g. 10% faster, while consuming 50% more energy vs AMD's one?

About AI build:
AI score (memory size times memory speed):
6700 bucks: 38528 = 128 GB unified memory * 301 GB/s.
4800 bucks: 29184 = 64 GB RAM * 120 GB/s + 24 GB VRAM * 896 GB/s.
(120 GB/s = 128-bit * 7500MT/s / 1000 / 8, AIDA64 confirms the theoretical value as being 65-85% below in practice)
(prices are quotes from the articles and may have changed since then)

More AI bang for buck:
A desktop PC AI build will give a much higher AI score for the same price or equal score for much less (AM5 mainboard with PCIe 5.0 x8x8 bifurcation support (400 bucks) + two 5070 Ti, run in tensor parallel (= VRAM and speed add up) (2*1250 bucks) + .. will still cost less than the 4800 bucks):
63488 = 64 GB RAM (AM5 B800 series supports up to 256 GB RAM) * 96 GB/s + 32 GB VRAM * 1792 GB/s.

We have just reviewed the new Asus ProArt P16. However, with last year's 2025 model still on sale, the question is: Who is the RTX Spark version suited to, and who should opt for the combination of an AMD processor and a GeForce graphics card instead?
