Putting AI into the name is clearly an attempt to mislead consumers into thinking it's a model with one of the new Ryzen AI processors, or one of the other AI-optimized processors, and associated with Microsoft AI PC marketing, as most will not dig into the exact CPU being used or understand what the model number means. It's like when AMD introduced the Athlon XP immediately after Windows XP came out in order to associate with it like it was the best for that operating system (since AMD was still far less well known that Intel, but it was a far superior processor in general). And more recently with AMD changing their GPU model number scheme to look like Nvidia model numbers.
Orico, a brand that's best known for storage solutions and accessories, entered the laptop market in late 2025. Now, the company is introducing its very first AMD-powered model to the global market. Starting at $689.99, it's a relatively affordable system with enough power to handle light-to-moderate productivity workloads.
