Conclusion is actually true but problem is the graphs used as evidence don't support the claim.

Compared to x86 video decode on any arm64 device is ultra efficient so it's a bit pointless to test or show this.

Running more efficient apple silicon or X2 elite hardware at full load, none of them last very long either.

Where you start to see the gap widen is in web browser battery life testing which relies more on single threaded efficiency.

Another trashy conclusion article. What's the point beside that Nvidia nx1 really consume more power compared to apple? Besides, both manufacturers overcome its shortcomings with bigger battery and this workaround stands very well to apple, although the battery is indeed bigger, the customers will still benefit from it.

Linus Tech Tips has tested the brand-new Asus ProArt P16 2026 and the Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra with the Nvidia RTX Spark N1X SoC. Sadly, the efficiency of the RTX Spark N1X leaves a lot to be desired, as the battery life of the Asus and Microsoft's RTX Spark-powered laptops is reportedly good but not great.
