Volkswagen has filed a recall with the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) covering more than 22,500 of ID.4 vehicles from model years 2023 through 2026. The high-voltage battery could fail and, under a combination of specific charging patterns and a state of charge above 80%, cause a vehicle fire.
