There's a lot of variables with battery capacity dropping over time. If only one of those is controlled, then the others can skew the data.

Writer do visit reddit Android threads in which there are many and about cellphone battery care. There are very many positive comments on the advantages of keeping good battery health between 20/30- 80/85% of charging over long term usage stats.

A three-year iPhone long-term test by MacRumors set out to determine whether an 80% charge limit really helps preserve the battery. Without a control group, the test couldn't provide a definitive answer. Combined with experiences from the community, however, there is at least a noticeable trend.
