Soo they are adding a feature that has been present in EDM and JDM cars since the invention on xenon headlights ? I dont get why the article says that EU cars use a lever or a switch. Yes older halogen headlights have this but cars fitted with xenon and most LED have a automated leveling system that the driver does not need to interact with. It works the same way as describe for tesla. Starting to thing this was mandated my EU or any other domestic market the already has this regulated.
Tesla has started testing a new lighting feature that nobody asked for, but plenty of drivers may still appreciate. It removes the chore of manually adjusting the low beams.
