The reason Garmin is restarting development on the Fenix 6 (Pro) is that it's broken. Either by an update, or a ticking time-bomb that broke the calculation of predicted times back in June.

Garmin has released a major new update to several of its older flagship smartwatches. The first in almost 18 months, the new update promises to resolve an outstanding issue that affected Race Predictor functionality.
