Sony Japan is requiring PS5 Pro buyers to have a Japanese PSN account with at least 60 hours of recorded PS4 or PS5 gameplay, aiming to deter scalpers using newly created accounts. The measure may also exclude legitimate players, highlighting the limits of gameplay history as proof of purchase intent.
