CAM has released new figures for Europe's car market. New registrations rose 5.8% in the first eight months of 2026. Of the roughly 500,000 additional passenger cars registered, 419,000 came from Chinese automakers, accounting for 84% of the total growth. BYD, Chery and other Chinese automakers also surpassed 1 million cars sold in Europe for the first time.
