I can't believe they care about customers, what's the catch here? It will instal malware or something ever worse than Ubisoft Launcher?

Ubisoft is testing a new tool that lets players use the essential features of Ubisoft Connect, Ubisoft's launcher, without installing it separately. This tool is currently being tested on Steam and is being designed to work only with Ubisoft games purchased from Steam.
