Oh come on, why make a point of why something is named something for an article headline? Ultra, super Ultra, Mega Ultra, Ultra Ultra... why flip? why z fold? why Apple, you can't eat it... it is a catchy name, end of!

Is the latest foldable phone just a marketing ploy by Samsung and a response to the upcoming Apple iPhone Ultra? The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra doesn't really deserve the name "Ultra", despite its titanium hinge and the fantastic 8-inch OLED display - yet it is still one of the best foldable phones of 2026.
