it's in the first few sentences, their video is locked behind a paywall for subscribers, will appear tomorrow probably.

indeed, they don't understand that DLSS is not for free and would probably have cost the game the fluid 60FPS. Nintendo uses almost free FSR1 to upscale to 4k instead. Worked like a charm with Splatoon Raiders and also Star Fox in the past, those games look perfectly fine on my 75 inch 4K QLED TV.

> already hits 1080/60 for handheld

I just finished RDR Undead Nightmare on Switch 2, and blown away how RAGE handled the game when docked. Sure, the lighting is outdated but the frame pacing, render distance and texture quality shows how well an optimized game can take advantage on Switch 2. Putting DLSS just to band aid sounds like what nvidia investor would say

Digital Foundry praises the Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake performance showcased at the Nintendo Direct. Deciding against Unreal Engine 5 helped deliver smooth 60 fps graphics. Still, DLSS upscaling would have benefited the excessively sharpened 1080p images in the Switch 2 game.
