Absolutely, I've switched browsers and used VPN for other normal countries where such utter nonsense and lost of time is not present. What a relief once it'll be abolished.
Have the EU (and other entities!) MANDATE the use of Ublock Origin, and it can block cookies and all advertisements and annoyances, in one fell swoop! It'll be so conducive to commerce and the User's Experience!
It could be so simple: Instead of being confronted with a cookie banner on every website, some even misleading, users could set their cookie preferences, including exceptions, once in their browser and be done with it. But the tracking industry (with Google in front) is pushing back against the European Commission's proposal. Scientists, NGOs and companies have now joined forces in a coalition calling for the proposal to be implemented.
