A parking mistake can quickly become expensive, but BMW's Neue Klasse can now override the driver to prevent a collision. A water-cooled computer with 20 times the processing power automatically stops the vehicle if the accelerator and brake pedals are confused while maneuvering. The system also intervenes in other situations and can temporarily prevent a door from being opened from the inside if a cyclist is approaching.
