I thought I let you know in case you are not aware of them.
Hi I've been reading your reviews for like a decade and I noticed an error in one of your reviews the size of the Medion Erazer Beast 16 X1 Ultimate is listed quite a bit smaller than I believe the laptop actually is but I was wondering if you could doublecheck because it should be the same size as the XMG laptop given they're the same chassis but it's significantly smaller in with according to your website.
Well, at least this laptop has 32 GB RAM + 16 GB VRAM (same GB203 chip as in a 5080 desktop (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackwell_(microarchitecture)#Blackwell_dies)) and not 12 GB VRAM, which would have been super ridiculously low for the price.
For ~3000 bucks you'd think they try to stay well below 60 dB(A). But around 60 dB(A) at the highest setting (Gaming) for GIGABYTE is not unexpected and they would've solved it if too many people would complain? NOISEBYTE or GIGANOISE :-D
Gaming: 59 dB(A), 144.5 fps, 165 W + 145 W Balanced: 51 dB(A), 135.4 fps, 150 W + 90 W Energy Saving: 41 dB(A), 111.6 fps, 100 W + 65 WMaybe the Gaming setting should be renamed to Power Inefficient Noise, or something, lmao.
I wonder if there would have been a setting between Balanced and Energy Saving. Gaming setting is kinda just fan noise increase setting due to much lower energy efficiency of the chips when driven to their maximum. And I would have had nothing against if the Gaming setting was removed.
PS: For 3000 bucks you can build a much faster and quieter desktop gaming PC.
