You realize the costemers are 99% digital buyers right. People who care about and buy physical are a vanishing minority and have being for years I know that's hard to believe when you think the world revolves around you.

Are games going to get cheaper as it's going to be easier to deliver!? I doubt it... And so now if you won't have internet or whatever tier subscription you can do one.

Cancelled all my pre-orders already, now I'll refuse to watch your movies, buy your products, or support you in any way. Sony couldn't be more blatant about the corporate greed. We see how you view your loyal customer base. What bold face liars! "We're moving away from physical media." Pfft!

The Almighty dollar rules all. Screw the custy, it's all about what Sony wants. Well.. Gimme a good old reliable, high quality Technics 1200 turntable. Or any turntable by Technics. Can't wait to see Sony eat a big$hi+ sandwich made of financial loss from discontinuing gaming discs.

Until PlayStation is separate from Sony in the stock market, they're under the same roof

Sony plans to reduce PS5 disc production in 2028, but still manufactures vinyl record players. A social media post about a turntable irked gamers already upset over the decision. They claim that, like with music, demand for the physical game format will continue for the foreseeable future.
