Most smartphones currently offer an aspect ratio of approximately 19.5:9, with the exception of foldables, whose cover displays often still use the elongated 21:9 aspect ratio. Those are slowly being replaced by much wider displays with an aspect ratio of approximately 16:10, such as the one found on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 or the upcoming iPhone Ultra. Is a similar trend coming for traditional bar-style smartphones as well?
