I bought my Mazda because I was interested in stick shift. I eventually purchased automatic. But I respect the shift. If Mazda does away with stick, my next car may not be a Mazda.

And as for the prices of digital PS games, they come down very quickly, actually get on the store and look because I don't believe you have. That was one of the reasons I was always buying digital. As of about a year or two ago I stopped buying digital and only purchase physical because I don't trust any corporation, this includes why I did not purchase a switch 2, game key not a real game why are you all not up in arms about this.

Start buying physical games that will be the only way they change their mind because guess what, companies make decisions that will make the company more money and if they are not seeing disk sales, they will go away. Especially in day and age where the vast majority are buying digital games.
it's not the fact that they're both digital dumbass!!! It's because the console would be PS Store ONLY!! A PC is infinitely more useful!! You can do a hell of a lot more on a PC than you can on a PlayStation DUMBASS!!!

There's more than a few digital games that you can either no longer access or play when they are removed from the store. Physical media disks while somewhat antiquated still serve a purpose as a physical backup. Not to mention I also use the disk drive to watch blue rays and DVDs streaming services are more like utility bills you have to pay monthly to keep them up where as DVDs can be used even when the internet is down. I'll never buy a digital only console and I never have it just screams cheap .. I still very much watch blue rays and DVDs of movies you wouldn't normally be able to find without renting or purchasing it who knows what will become of the platform in 30 years if your still going to be able to access your content. Just over the 10 years I've lost access to more than a few games that were purchased digitally from Amazon for example.

I once switched to PS4 and after that PS5, but rising PS plus monthly fees is getting on me. Only to play online (free games are all crap) I am considering going back to PC for free online gaming.

I'll continue to support japanese console for a simple reason, with my play I start playing exactly when I switch on the console, without waiting for steam's hateable updates. When I want to play with my PC I have to wait a whole day of games updates, because you must run the latest version otherwise you can't Play...
Go playstation go!

Doesn't take that long to update games. Download speeds are the same, in some cases. PC wins there too though. You don't need to update the game either...that is flat out lies. Sony/PlayStation/Crunchyroll are a plague on true creative freedom.

Most importantly there's multiple store fronts including drm free games...so you can actually own a game.

Yes PC is fully digital, but if sony takes away physical games, there really is not point of having a PlayStation. No used games since they'll be digital only, sony will have a complete monopoly on them so expect prices to rarely drop, and no $80 subscription to play online, which will probably increase in price soon. So yeah it doesn't make sense to have a digital only console when PC is much better.

PC may sell most of it's games digitally, but at least there is competition and decent sales! Sony's PS storefront is terrible! Prices are rarely reasonable, and even older games are still relatively pricey! You can compare games quite easily for yourself. Check out a reatively new (6months or so) game on both and i'd like to bet the pc version is considerably cheaper. Plus, you don't normally have to pay for online play!

A survey has found that 41% of PlayStation fans are seriously considering switching to PC. The shift appears to a result of Sony's retreat from physical games, weakening exclusivity, rising game and hardware prices, and the growing accessibility and value of PC gaming.
